About Us
Welcome to Transfer Track!
We at Transfer Track are an organization dedicated to reporting on football (or for Americans, soccer)-related transfer market news. We strive to cover transfer-related stories from around the world, as well as providing users with the tools they need to analyze what they're reading through an objective lens, through our source analyses and our soon-to-be-completed Transfer Tier Bible.
For those of you who are not exactly familiar with the transfer market, it's a period during which players are allowed to transfer between different football clubs. For most European leagues, there are typically two "transfer windows" during the year - one during the summer, running from June to the end of August, and one during the month of January in the winter.
With the meteoric rise in popularity of the sport, especially in the United States and other foreign markets, there has been increased attention drawn to the transfer window in recent years. Many are unaware of the engagement-based practices employed by many so-called "transfer news sources", and often take what they read at face-value. Our goal is help dispel some of these inaccurate stories by providing the fact-checking tools that users need.
What differentiates us from other publishers is our dedication to reliability, while also covering a wide variety of transfer stories, news, and reports from around the globe. We use our tier-system (explained more in detail here) to give a general picture of the accuracy of a particular source, based on their accuracy in the past. While this may not guarantee the veracity of a particular story or rumor, it does provide a general idea of its reliability.
At Transfer Track, we are always working towards refining our source analyses and expanding our catalogue to cover more transfer news sources. If you see anything that you think should be improved, do not hesitate to contact us.
